Does black tea have the same health benefits of green tea?
Question by : Does black tea have the same health benefits of green tea?
I really love black tea but I heard that Green tea is healthier but I’ve tried to make green tea several times and different ways and it always ends tasting like asparagus. Also does milk have any effect (other than adding fat)?

Q&A: green tea or oolong tea for weightloss?
Question by : green tea or oolong tea for weightloss?

Honestly, green tea is slightly better. The reason for this is all about the fermentation process which is different for the 3 types of tea – black, white (oolong) or green. All tea comes from the same plant (Camellia Sinensis.) Okay, so green tea is steamed and not fermented at all. Oolong tea is slightly fermented and black tea is the most. Now what this means is that the compounds in the tea that are good for weight loss, are best preserved in green tea (due to the least fermentation).
Please see my website for heaps about green tea and oolong tea and weight loss. Drink 3-4 cups a day, or take a few drops of extract. Good luck with the weight loss!
